Solar Equity Solutions was founded in January 2025 in response to a growing and deeply concerning problem within the residential solar industry.
Long before we ever helped homeowners exit harmful solar agreements, our work focused on solar advocacy and consumer education. We believed, and still believe, that renewable energy can be a positive force when it is implemented ethically and transparently. From the beginning, our role was never to sell solar systems.
Our focus was on helping homeowners understand how solar financing works, how contracts should be structured, and what questions must be answered before anyone signs a long term agreement tied to their home. Over time, however, a troubling pattern began to emerge.
Homeowners were no longer reaching out with general questions about solar. They were coming to us with problems. Payments that did not match what they were promised. Savings that never materialized. Loans they did not fully understand. Liens they were never clearly told about. Installers who disappeared once the contract was signed.
At first, we believed these were isolated cases. But the volume increased. The same issues appeared across different states, different installers, and different lenders. The names changed, but the outcomes were the same.
We began reviewing contracts, financing documents, and sales materials in detail. Working in conjunction with independent attorneys, we found misleading projections, buried disclosures, altered loan terms, and sales practices designed to close deals quickly rather than ensure homeowners truly understood what they were agreeing to.
That was the turning point. We realized that education alone was no longer enough. Too many homeowners were already locked into damaging agreements they never would have accepted had the process been honest and transparent. So we shifted our focus. Not away from solar, but toward protecting homeowners.
Our mission is to end solar fraud and help homeowners regain control from solar contracts they were misled into signing.
Today, Solar Equity Solutions focuses on helping families unwind, challenge, and escape solar agreements that were entered into through deception, fraud, omissions, or misrepresentations. Along with independent attorneys, SES works to identify where the process failed the homeowner and what lawful options may exist to pursue correction, relief, or cancellation.
We collaborate with independent legal professionals, financial experts, and compliance specialists when appropriate, always with the homeowner’s long term financial well being as the priority.
We do not represent installers or lenders. We do not sell solar systems. Our work exists solely on the consumer side.
We did not become a solar exit company because we stopped believing in renewable energy.
We became a solar exit company because too many homeowners were harmed by an industry that, in many cases, prioritized speed and profit over honesty and transparency. When the system failed consumers, someone needed to stand in their corner.
Solar Equity Solutions exists to be that advocate.
We believe homeowners deserve clarity, fairness, and informed consent before entering any agreement that affects their home and financial future. When those standards are not met, homeowners deserve real support and a path forward.
That is what we do, and why we do it.
